Compounding Supervisor

The job is located in the City of Bell, California and is currently in transition for 12-16 weeks from Culver City.
Under minimal to no supervision, the Compounding Supervisor assists with coordination of all production activities, operations, and staff to ensure conformance to established procedures; implements practices that maximize production efforts to improve the overall effectiveness and financial performance of the production function.
Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, quality, cost and GMP standards in a high speed manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Preforms physical inspection of raw materials and releases raw materials in pre-weigh prior to compounding department use.
Assists with ordering of raw materials based on gross requirements provided by planner.
Implementation of daily housekeeping and cleanliness of the pre-weigh, raw material storage, quarantine, powder, sanitation and compounding areas.
Coordinate required maintenance and repairs of equipment with Maintenance Department.
Provide management with status statistics of tank capabilities and limitations
Oversees batch compounding, product drumming, submission of lab samples.
Maintenance of availability of DI water system, boiler, cooler, weight scales.
Allocation/assignment of manpower and equipment.
Assign Lot Numbers to batches and record/maintain Log Book.
Provides training and assistance to Compounders and Sanitizers, as needed
Evaluates and recommends improvements to improve efficiencies and cut costs.
Promotes safety and implements safety procedures and supervises GMP implementation, on manufacturing floor.
Responsible for reporting safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.

Allergen Program
Other duties as assigned
Minimum five years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing production role or related capacity
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent
Forklift Certification
Knowledge of operations of Electric Pallet Jacks, Hydraulic Lifting Gates and Temperature Control Units
Possess practical knowledge of all batch categories including, but not limited to OTC and Medical Device.

Proficient on MAS200, MRP, Microsoft Suites software

Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Indirectly manages Compounders and Sanitizers

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
