Line Mechanic

Under supervision, the Line Mechanic supports production by safely maintaining Hain Personal Care equipment to produce the highest quality finished goods at the lowest possible cost.
Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, quality, cost and GMP standards in a high speed manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Preforms preventative maintenance on all machinery to ensure continuous operations
Rebuild gearboxes, power drives, and centrifugal pumps and replace mechanical shaft seals.
Ensures timing mechanisms and automated equipment drivers function according to vendors' manuals and specifications.
Performs welding functions to repair and fabricate stainless steel as per acceptable standards
Read piping diagrams and ensure the proper function of various components for air and water distribution systems.
Run electrical conduit according to code requirements.
Programs and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Control systems.
Responsible for reporting safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.

Other duties as assigned
Minimum two years' experience as a Maintenance Mechanic capacity or related role in a manufacturing environment
High school diploma or equivalent as well as understanding of conceptual aspects in the field of Electronics, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Mechanical Concepts.
Knowledgeable in the operating principles of hydraulic systems and able to troubleshoot and repair their mechanical components
Knowledgeable in mechanical drive fundamentals, i.e. chain drive sprocket and gearbox ratios, etc.
Knowledgeable in programming Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's).
Troubleshoot systems up to 480 volts with complicated electrical controls and wire 3 phase motors.
Worked or exposure in a manufacturing environment and raw material / component warehouse
Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities, scheduling, and laying out assigned work activities.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, and methods and techniques used in Compounding
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, checklists, forms and equipment instruction manuals that are written in English.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Strong safety record
Ability to meet attendance guidelines.
Ability to work flexible hours to effectively perform all duties and responsibilities

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
