Material Handler

This Plant is currently located in Culver City, Ca and is in transition to Bell, Ca for the next 16 - 24 weeks.

Basic Purpose

The Material Handler assists with both the administrative data entry activities pertaining to inventory control functions as well as assisting with basic warehouse functions pertaining to receiving, storage and shipping of supply of materials to our customers. The incumbent operates a forklift to load and unload materials from trucks and delivers materials to and from storage areas for use in production.

Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, product safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high speed manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory Control:

  • Maintain and distribute various Warehouse forms and reports.
  • Reconcile daily transaction reports.
  • Maintain and reconcile inventories within database systems.
  • Verifies contents of all received shipments.

Material Handling

  • Operates forklifts and hand jacks to transport boxes, pallets and other products to various storage and production site areas.
  • Remove product from dock and storage area for cleanup daily.

Inspect ingredients to determine if it is in conformance. If product does not meet standard, contact Team Leader, and Quality Coordinator.

Responsible for reporting product safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.

Follow all Product Safety guidelines, but not limited to: GMP's, Factory Audits, Quality, Sanitation, Safety, ISO9001

Additional duties and various projects as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum one year experience in an inventory control capacity or related role
  • Forklift certification
  • Valid Driver's License

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
